Module 2 Project Experiment Sign up
The Module 2 Project Experiments are designed to give each student a chance to design and test their own experiment. A number of projects are available, with each requiring students to use all that they have learned over the semester in the execution of their design.
Here is what you should do:
Step 1:
Talk with your partner (or group) about which project you would like to do in Weeks 10-12. The project descriptions are in Appendix 8 in your manual or you can read them online at
http://appsci.queensu.ca/courses/APSC100/module2/projects/descriptions.php
Step 2:
Choose ONE person to be the sign up person for your group. Only one person signs up for the ENTIRE group of 2 or 3.
Step 3:
The sign up person can go to:
https://my.engineering.queensu.ca/applications/signups/apsc100/module2/
Step 4:
You will be asked to select your Engineering Section lab time.
Step 5:
You will be asked to select your project. They are listed by title in the same order as your manual has them. (However, there is only room for 4 groups to do each project, so when the 4 slots are taken, the project will automatically be removed from the drop down menu. So make sure you have a second choice in case your project isn't there)
Step 6:
You will be asked to enter your partners name. First and last name would be good but not essential (if you only know the first name, that's ok.). If you are in a group of 3, you only need to enter first names. (ie. Partners: Jim and Bob) You must sign up with the partner that you are doing the rotation of 6 labs with. If your partner has dropped out or is nonexistant, you may sign
up with a group of 2, but you need to send me an email to let me know.
Step 7:
Take a good look at what you have selected and make any corrections, because when you hit the "Register" button, it's final.
Step 8:
Click on the "Register" button and you're done! It should only take a minute to do the signup.
Project sign up will close Friday so make sure you sign up, otherwise your group will be randomly assigned to a project.
Note if you are REPEATING Module 2, you are not permitted to select the same project you did the previous time.
Let me know if you have any questions or problems with the sign up.
